Review:

My mom and I tried this restaurant out after getting a hair cut. Since it has really good reviews we had high expectations… but were quite disappointed. The interior itself looked kind of cheap with the table tops and chairs. The bowls were plastic too. For a place that gives an image of a slightly nicer asian fusion restaurant from it’s website, this is quite a difference.

Saturday and Sunday is a dimsum menu for lunch so my mom and I ordered a few different dishes to try.

The dan dan noodles itself were really gooey which I didn’t like at all. The sauce wasn’t too bad though, pretty spicey.

The curried turnip croquettes were ok. They put out wayy too much sauce though and i think it was too thick for something that’s already fried.

The fresh rolls were typical fresh rolls. Good.

The shrimp dumplings were weird. Once side was fried and the other side was gooey. It seemed like they didn’t fry the other side and the frozen skin just kind of melted from the heat? meh.

The miso glazed carrots were pretty disappointing. They gave us a huge bowl and it’s like .. that’s it?

The only thing worth going back for was the baos. The pork belly was flavorful and paired well with the lettuce and slices of radish. yumm… Tasted like the ones from ippudo.

It’s not a bad place but I don’t think it’s worth the price. It doesn’t seem so expensive but it does add up. Maybe dinner is better? but I don’t think I’ll be going again anytime soon.
